Do we need governors and their grey powers?

It is present system, else Britishers were running the governance from Britain with a representative in India.
Of course, constitution needs reform as per today time and circumstance, for which no one is interested to take correction.

The governor post cannot be removed without change in constitution and it is not possible for any party or group to have 2/3rd majority in Parliament required for doing so
anyway, what common man needs or does not need is insignificant for the 'big' political parties who hold key to majority.

Without Governors all states governments will act like independent countries. And will establish their own laws creating their own armies and courts. There will be now one to dismiss the state govt.

Exactly. When it benefits Congress, no issue with it and they do not talk about it. When others gets the benefit, then their is a issue.
