Itâs good idea. Corporate do take care of their Supply chain to improve productivity. They can even provide cold storage at places remote and also a cost effective Supply chain for fertilisers thereby reducing input cost

It makes sense to work for corporates.They take care of your entire produce,help in growing the food ,pay a better price than the government and also pick your produce from your farm.
While the Article wants to criticize Government, the idea seems to be excellent. If farmers work for Corporates, there will be no suicides, less losses, more tax and more produce. It will benefit all.

Agriculture is like any other business. If you can adopt modern means,do it or get out of it. No business can survive on government doles. Politicians have messed it.

It is not good for farmers. You young generation will learn from experience that corporate wants only profit ,they will not give farmer their profit.We have to pay more on food, devaluation of rupee. This govt will only promote corporate at cost of common people. Bling bhakt will not understand as they will never see the pics of India.

very true. The current scenario is not promising for farmers. In mandi, where farmers sell their product, middle men are taking all the profit. Corporate shall invest in technology for farming, which is otherwise not available to farmers

Sorry, Corporate do not work for farmers. They just want to maximize their profit, even sacrificing farmers. I am a farmer, could grow 45 quintals of dollar chana. In market, these big size traders are offering a price of Rs. 4500 per quintal. Yesterday had been to a mall, and saw the price for the same as Rs. 10800 per quintal!!! Who is taking care of whom? The economy of the country is purchasing power of common, and not a few. Industries will keep on earning more without giving space to common, and finally will end up with no buyers.
