The residence becomes unofficial after the minister resigns or fails in elections andna new minister/chief minister is appointed. The amendments passed by passing these rules are adding to the burden of sup court -which is already overburdened with litigations
would be happy to show only two examples: In UK the outgoing prime minster always his official residence at 10 Downng Street withing 10 days of loosing his offfice. Only the current Prime Minister stays at this address. Similarly In USA only the current President stays at White House. It is only in India that these shameless Politicians and their famiiies continue of occupy their official accomodations even if they have various properties in their own name and perhaps in some cases in Other's names. It is only in this country that President of a party is allotted a palacial house till he or she is alive.Funniest part is their famiies are allotted sepsrate bunglows and they enjoy the same for lifetime. Whereas a common working person who is also a honest tax payer just about manages to own a flat of 2BHK just about whenir he is due to retire. Worst part is these official residences are maintained by govt through tax payer's money and no body is ashamed to use tax payers money for their personal benifit and gains
