Dear Mr Shukla, Who are your basic readers. I dont have to remind Giant Defense Analyst. Pl write the amount in crore. It will be helpful to your majority Indian readers. In Dollar term you can write in Billion again thats helpful.
Re: Quantify Rupees in Crores not in Billion

Surprisingly, your problem lay with conversion of dollar into rupee denomination. Provided you are serious, look into the modernization facts and figures of the Indian armed forces in tune with our strategic requirements.
The Indian army still relies of decades old war philosophy of numbers rather than tech. How many more young Indian soldiers will be gun fodders before Indian government is ready to spend more on tech rather than just overwhelming numbers of troops.
The American Defence services had gone into IoT in War on Iraq. Chinese are building BMS and so are the Pakistans. The prohbitive costs projected for the project do not appear realistic. There is need to get these assessed from other sources as well. The project does not apper to be more than Rs 1 Billion. The major equiment is of super computers needed at theatre Hqs which collect, collate, relate, update, analyse and disseminate information. India has the capability to manufacture these. At lower Hqs the computers software prepared for the project are human efforts which the experts with in the Defence Forces can create. Fabricating and manfaturing the miniaturised sensor networks at nanoscale too is not that costly. Our existingTactical Communications System, Command Information and Decision Support System, Artillery Command, Control and Communications System and Battlefield Surveillance System can be married to the mainframe with few modifications. Our Radars, RPVs, monitoring cells at various levels can be provided safer and smarter communication systems for interconnections. The project can be taken up in stages. I request the GOvt not to shelve the project otherwise Indian Defence systems will be left much behind in the Global systems.

Quite so. Affordability of 'x' notwithstanding depended on a variety of factors including threat perception vis-à-vis enemy position.Sorry to say that vested interest has constantly been at work in our case which tend to thwart domestic efforts.

You must know that the funds used in Gurudwaras are also used for poor people,24 hours free community kitchen hospitals, sarai (Inns), flood & earth quacks victims, lepers, orphanages, charitable schools and for other noble causes which are equally important which in fact is government liability.

all babas n sadhus and mullahs should be taxed 90% of their income because they have dedicated themselves to religious-sacred causes and they dont need money. so better to take their 90% income-religious fund and use the fund for DEFENCE and ARMY..
UTTLERLY BECAUSE OF POLTICIAL INABILITY, LACK OF WILL, CONCENTRATING ON HOW TO CORRUPT....OUR POLITICAL MASTERS HAS ALWAYS LET DOWN OUR FORCES. SHAME ON SYSTEM THAT GOVERNS THE FORCES IN INDIA
Its a matter of time when national security will be out sourced to some private limited co except VVIP security... Why to spend so much.. pension... etc when it can be outsourced... & why to have a guard with a gun when the same can be manned by lathi wielding tame contractual security guard as is the case with education... healthcare.. national monuments
Suffered always due to lack of funds, as majority of tax payers money is spent on unproductive DA linked pension of Govt. servants and on politicians, as the average age of citizens have gone by 20 years. Biggest liability which govt. is afraid of shedding.
