Venezuela is a leftist bastion & the preferred utopia of all left-liberals, commies etc. who populate much of our media & intelligentsia. This country's ruling party & economic policies was seen as the model for other countries such as India. For years, leftists have been denigrating Indian system & hailing Venezuelean model. Kerala leftists were the most vocal in this regard. But look at the reality, India under Modi has emerged as the 7th largest economy in the world & is racing ahead with several development schemes for its people. Whereas, once rich countries like Venezuela have forced crippling hardships on its people like food shortage, lack of transport & jobs. The ordinary people should view with cynicism, the media & left leaders who promise utopia but deliver only misery. Those websites who host such leftist political commentators should also ponder about the utter dis-service they are doing to their readers.
