Blame Inaction, not Enaction
by Chaitanya on Jul 17, 2018 01:59 PM  | Hide replies

As always, we fall into the trap of thinking that passing a new law, with more severe punishment, will magically solve all law and order issues such as rapes, lynching, etc.

Interesting to see that even the SC keeps falling into this trap.

The fact is that we have ENOUGH LAWS, prescribing ENOUGH PUNISHMENT.

Our REAL WEAKNESSES are:

--Police force is not big enough, commensurate to the scale of our population.

--Judicial system is not big enough, commensurate to the scale of our population, and the Himalayan backlog of cases accumulating for decades.

In fact, lynchings are based on the popular public belief that "the law takes too long to do its, job, so let's take law into our own hands"

We can go on legislating newer and fancier laws, and even Islamic style public be-headings. But as long as we do not address the real problem of SCALE, the laws will remain only ON PAPER.

ONLY WAY UPLIFT WEAKER SECTIONS & ALSO GIVE MERIT ITS PLACE
by PRAGMATIST on Jul 17, 2018 12:46 PM  | Hide replies

Only way uplift weaker sections & also give merit its place
1. Remove those whose parental income is more than Ra 30,000 pm (take home) from SC, ST and OBC reservns.
2. Gov employees who do not undergo sterilization after 2 kids will lose their jobs (FC, SC, ST or OBC).
3. Remove those whose parent’s total market value of property is more than Rs 30 lakhs from SC, ST and OBC reservns, list them under FC.
4. Remove criminal communities with money-power & muscle-power like Jats, Gujjars, Yadavs, Patels, Modis, Jaiswals, Kapus, etc, from OBC reservns.
5. Restrict a person to use reservns only 4 times in his life time: 2 times in education (means he can accept a seat 2 times in education--Grad or PG), 2 times for govt job or promotion. After a person gets a govt job or completes a professional deg (Engg, Doctor, MCA, etc), the children of the SC / ST will be promoted to OBC and the children of OBCs will be promoted to OC / FC.
6. Once SC, ST or OBC promoted to FC, they cannot go down, can only move up.
7. All SC, ST students and gov employees must take and pass at least 2 special English and Mind-developments tests, failing which their reservn certificates will be put on hold; and gov employees will get penalty decrements.
8. Fix reservs at SC: 15%, ST: 5%, and MBC: 20% (only Most Backward Castes will get reservs). Leave 60% for merit.
9. Spl brainwashing sessions should be organized for all reserved candidates—teaching them manners and how to behave.

No body will listen to you in this country because SC , ST and OBC are Gods . Not even a single leader has courage enough to speak for the poor , they always talk only of Dalits whether he may be crorepati or arabpatis .

All parties congress, BJP, SP, BSP, and others should clear their stand on such biased reservation and anti democratic act being carried for vote bank. It is official bribe, equal to Jajia put on Hindus during Aurangzeb time.

You interfere quite frequently, why not give death punishment to all hard core criminals, terrorists, corrupts and anti nationals. who need them-let us know, why our tax money is wasted on them.

making law is job of legislative, not of judiciary. Court job is to punish the culprit with existing law. Courts or Judiciary dosn't make law

The problem is lack of conviction not lack of punishment. Courts can't give any punishment to criminals till law enforcement agencies can't/won't prove crimes with evidence but vested interests and corruption in the system prevents them from doing so.
