Justice Gogoi

If we have such judges as Justice Gogoi, it will be good for India. Lawyers are one of the major reasons for delays in court work and decisions, and such judges should drastically reduce the need for lawyers except in cases where a party is unjustly put at a disadvantage because of many reasons. Today, so many govt. ministers are lawyers, handling everything from finance, I&B, Defence etc. etc.where all they do best is to talk back on deficiencies and lacunae from legal point of view, not truth.

Tell this judge not to preach but do good job. He talk of 50 year yester story of jurisprudence. If that was the case then why 3 cr pending cases in the judiciary. needs to introspect instead of preaching morality to others.

The PM is the one who needs to accept his role in the bad situation. A PM who apparently is out to take revenge on the judiciary and convert this nation into a Hindu Rashtra at any cost needs to see truth and serve the nation. Fortunately, we have such a mature, learned SC judge like Justice Gogoi with us. But, the chances are that the govt. may put a spoke into his elevation to CJI position. Justice Gogoi must be aware of the danger of denial.

what is required
by vivek bansal on Jul 13, 2018 09:46 AM

Judiciary must adopt work culture, less holidays and more disposing off of pending cases, should not ask for
more than required evidence, lawyers must also be held
responsible for extracting money on every date from
litigants even thought the case remains as it is.Honesty, responsiblity & work culture are more required than revolvution or reforms.

Comonman does not require Courts at all in the normal circumstances, when required should be delivered in the quickest possible time.Justice delayed is Justice denied, civil or more importantly criminal, and now bank suits. Hence, Courts should function on all days except Sundays and no festivals. This should be the motto. Besides, the levels of appea;s should be restricted to only one, and no further. Corruption is all pervasive and Courts are no exception. Lawyers should not be allowed to trivialize cases, and should be punished like ordinary criminal.

WE UNDERSTANDS JUSTICE GOGOI SPEAKS ON THE WAY
by Gautam Kar on Jul 13, 2018 12:26 AM  | Hide replies

He Supported commoners during Sardarji riots and complete suppression and forced abolition of all cases even by Judiciary .... BRAVO

We also understand how he supported CJI by calling press conference and declared the infamous "Democracy in Danger" the next day CJI announced re-opening of forced closed Sardarji Riot cases.

People remember the story dear Justice !!!!

The truth may hopefully come out after October, because the new CJI may be as forthcoming and frank as he was in his speech yesterday.

Rediff Moderator: I propose to approach the NBA for publishing a serious accusation against Justice Gogoi. You are also denying my factual comment.
