When the couple tweeted about their issue, she should have simply said that she will look into the matter and then let the truth prevail. But she jumped the gun and decided that it was fault of the officer. Even after truth has come out, there were no repercussion for the couple and an officer was transferred for no fault. That is why people got upset. Politicians need to rise above identity politics and do what is right. Proper inquiry and following up would have suffice and so should be done.

Trolling Swaraj is not really the big issue here. After all the trolls merely held a mirror up to the principles of the organization of which she is a loyal and vociferous follower. What is despicable is the display of antagonism to inter faith weddings and open attitudes towards inter mixing of cultures , by a segment of society which has become a big threat to our country's law and order.
PO Officer punished for doing his duty. and the couple got the passport with out residence verification name change certificate. Sushma handed over passport in person to couple. obviously if it sent via postal it will reach wrong address since they gave false address
