Had this rule come itself in 1996 then one nation one election could have adverse as LS election was held in 1996, 1998,1999 .no guarantee that in future such situation cant repeat again.so one nation one election not fruitful for india .
........who spends most of his time in India going all around braying out at his shrillest in a desperate effort to keep diverting the attention of commoners from the record levels of big time corruption (big time croxny capitalism) he is presiding over..........is tiring from the effort ?????
Narendra Modi.........who has taken record high kickbacks from the croxny capitalists to whom he has handed over public wealth at throw away prices......is tiring from ceaselessly braying out inanities such as religious identity based politics ???
Narendra Modi........who has been spending record amounts in campaign expenditure even for municipal elections for the BJP with the black money given in kickbacks by croxny capitalists.............is getting tired ????
Now what ??
Suspension of democratic processes ??
Constitution in animated freeze ??
Emergency by proxy ??
But........Modi has been managing rather very well with the stuxpid north Indian middle class commoners !!!
He has been successfully making those dunces mistake his high pitched and ceaseless pronouncements for true and purposeful intents and resolve !!
Does Modi now think that even such stuxpid commoners might begin to see through to his record levels of corruption packaged as nationalism, patriotism, etc ??
The problem-solution of one nation-one election is tied in inextricably with the loss of confidence in state assemblies that forces elections ahead of schedule. Even if we somehow restart the one nation-one election process, it is bound to degenerate soon after as state governments collapse due to various reasons. The same situation can also prevail at the Centre. So, the question is this, If an elected government loses the confidence or is otherwise unable to last its full term, how do we continue 'elected governance' without a mid-term election? Also, how do we prevent a government that calls for an election ahead of time to cash in on its current popularity? One way to avoid mid-term election is for the assembly or parliament to propose a 'vote of confidence' in an alternative set of MLAs/MPs rather than a 'vote of no-confidence'. 'Elected governance' then continues with a different set of leaders. Calling an ahead of term election can be made constitutionally illegal, defining unambiguously the adverse conditions under which it can be done, thus doing away with opportunities to cash in on current popularity. But what about Article 357 ?

Looks like India is going to go through a phase where there will be no more elections. The present ruling dispensation will by hook or crook make sure no more elections will be held. India is going to go to dictatorship.

As long as you vote for Parliament and assembling you do not have to cry. Even Indhira Gandhi declaring emergency had to declare elections.

India's secularism is detrimental to Majority people of india. SECULAR FACRIC has been grossly misused by left as well as by Media. India should good to go for dictatorship being dictated by Hindi leader. Hindis has never uprooted any of the miniority people living in india. Rather people of other religions are happily living in India as hindy people are soft and donot hate others.
THERE NOT BE ANY ELECTIONS, IN INDIA THERE IS ONLY ONETHING THAT WORKS THAT IS DICTATORSHIP.MOST OF LEADERS ,BUROCRATS ,CORPORATES AND GOVT. SYSTEMS ARE ONLY LOOTING INDIA S.S.KASANA
Trying to take away the power of the common man and give it top some top bureaucrats? This can be look good at short term but in the long run will lead to anarchy. People are not slaves. India's strength is its diversity, Its natural.
