Leaving the battle field or fighting in the battle field!!
by R ponnabalam on Jan 15, 2018 09:43 PM

The Govt.if is , telling that it cannot run Govt. of Industries, that tantamounts to telling that Govt.would not make the warriors fight the enemy but would ask them to leave the battle field? What a scene?

by jaspal negi on Jan 15, 2018 03:28 PM

IS THERE ANY PERSON WHO IS INTERESTED IN BUYING EQUITY IN LOSS MAKING COMPANY IN FIRST PLACE?

GOVERNMENT MUST EVALUATE AND DIVEST THE AIR INDIA RATHER THAN INJECTING HARD EARNED MONEY OF INDIAN TAX PAYERS FOR SAKE OF RUNNING A ALWAYS LOSS MAKING COMPANIES LIKE AIR INDIA AND OTHER SIMILAR GOVT. COMPANIES.

Business is not a cup of tee for GOVERNMENT
by Yogesh Murgude on Jan 15, 2018 12:20 PM  | Hide replies

They (GOVT) are in so many businesses, but hardly any doing good progress except OIL which will anyways do good. The mentality of the people working there is getting the JOB, that's it. Once you are in, you are set for the lifetime with pension. You do work, no work who cares. There are many worker union who will take care of it. There is no performance criteria like in Private sector. If you have good links, you will move up in the ladder or simply bribe the people. This is the case across all the Companies/departments run by GOVT.

So many people are behind getting GOVT job, since it is the security for their lifetime. This attitude need to be changed. There should be criteria, based on performance like in private sector.

Now who is interested in doing this. Simply no one.

Give this company to TATA or Reliance or some big industry and watch. They will definitely turn it around within couple of years.

Will it be better if we privatize Govt. offices ,the most inefficient entity in our country , also. There is always political criteria creeping into Industries..That must stop;wonders and miracles are not needed. If the Govt. can mend it's ways every Industry can be run well .If during emergency days if the Govt. of India Industries ran well the Govt. can run Industries also .A casual discussion between me and my shop trade union leader ran like this;he is a good man .Said I"Mr. you fellows, unions have spoiled the company. He replied,"Array thumi mastani korcho: amra thumake ke korethilam.Thumar management kaje no thum.Ami chandma chaibo.Thumi debona ki.Thumi NA bolthe hobe.It was a lesson to me ;I had it quiet early in my career and my thanks to him.It means," you do masthani. What have we done to you.Your management has no guts.I will ask for the Moon. Are you going to give.YOU HAVE TO TELL BLUNTLY NO and stand by it. IF WORK IS NOT DONE TAKE DUE ACTIONS"India fails in it.They (GOVT) are in so many businesses" Let it be so.But corruption and scam industries and Non Performing Assets Industries should not be there There should be no local man interest development industry like Local Area development fund -----.Here is what a M.D told Union leaders who came for review of an agreement and told the M.D.",The agreement is to be renewed as conditions have changed.M.D,replied "AS leaders you should have foreseen it then.No change is possible ti

Are not many Pvt. companies also running on Govt.&Nation stunting Non returned Loan packages from banks totaling to an extent of 15 lakh crores all and getting recap of banks at tax payer's cost.A proverb goes like this "which one out of the two corpses that are burning is good?"The statement Nothing is good or bad but thinking makes it so,comes to mind .For us all these companies give bad results.Else we would have been much better country. When India went nuclear Mr.P.N. Hasker said"We missed Industrial revolution so got enslaved. We cannot miss nuclear".Now have we really become well and duly Industrialized when we are importing so much after 40yrs after from that time?R.Ponnambalam
