The komaaaaali party (BJP)
by piri on Jan 13, 2018 09:29 AM  | Hide replies

was getting more and more excited !

And komaaaaali Modi and gas Shah were working themselves into a frenzy of excitement !

The PILs challenging the faulty and poorly designed Aadhar linking with personal accounts were assigned by the CJI to an amenable judge of the govts choice, in violation of the Memorandum of Procedure for deciding the bench and bench strength for trying such cases !

The Justice Loya murder case was assigned by the CJI to a similarly amenable junior judge in violation of the Memorandum of Procedure for deciding the bench and bench strength for cases of such import !

For the komaaaali govt, several other equally frightful cases were coming up !

The CJI, going by what he has been doing for the past 2 years, could certainly have been trusted to similarly *handle* each of these cases !

But now........ all that excitement has been rudely interrupted by these 4 dirty judges !!

They have driven that tiny element of doubt into the komaaaaalis mind !!

Will the stuxpid north Indian voters, who could be normally trusted for being stuxpid enough to buy the lies, exaggerations and diversionary ploys of the komaaaali and fall for his shrill grating voice..........begin to sense that there is something seriously amiss ??

SC judges expose their weakness and opportunism!
by Dinesh Kumar Baradwaja on Jan 13, 2018 08:32 AM

I am sure all Indians including ‘judges' are citizens of this Nation and serving in various capacity. I understand that Indian constitution has mandated to fallow the norms and regulations to keep the integrity of the country. The episode has set bad precedence by four senior most judges of the Supreme Court and their institution. The data of these judges demonstrate seniority and failure to stream line the judiciary system. Theses judges are on the verge of superannuation and now realising leakages in system. This episode looks that it is to hide weakness and opportunism and now seeking public support through media? Political parties have started blame game knowing well that the system weaknesses are not rectified for last five to six decades. All must come together to stop this as ‘ Nation is First ‘.

Yeah, true, he does not involve in murders of journalist and Caste Riots because Law and Order is a state matter, he does not involve in Judges mater because it is judiciary matter. He is destroying every institution by not involving it in.

The Narendra Modi govt,
by piri on Jan 13, 2018 12:36 AM  | Hide replies

with Mr Ravi Shankar Prasad as a front, had consistently been attempting to package its proposed NJAC as a step towards bringing in transparency in the running of the judiciary.

Wanting for long to get its hands in on the choice and appointment of judges to the higher courts, the Modi govt began criticizing the Collegium system that has been prevailing for a quarter of a century with the allegation that its decisions are not transparent.

The Collegium system came into existence after long wrangling in legal and govt circles as a step towards making the judiciary truly independent of the executive as envisaged in the Constitution. Mrs Indira Gandhi had blatantly intruded into the independence of the judiciary by selecting the Chief Justice of India based on personal preferences rather than on the seniority criterion that had been prevailing till then.

In its October 3, 2017 resolution, the Collegium of judges (Misra, Gogoi, Chelameshwar, Lokur and Joseph - precisely the 5 judges who are at the centre of the controversy today) decided to hitherto publish all its decisions regarding the appointments, promotions and transfer of high court and Supreme court judges on the official website of the apex court.

The judges also resolved that the reasons that made them choose the names for appointments and transfers would also be posted on the website for public access. The Collegium followed this resolution by publishing the appointments to the Madras and Kerala high court

and a note giving its reasons for each appointment.

This measure has apparently taken the wind completely out of the sails of the Modi government and it is left flailing about without any locus standi in its pretenses about ushering in transparency in the running of the judiciary !

That something has been seriously going wrong in the top court in recent times has well been evident from the manner in which it has vacillated in several of its recent pronouncements (Aadhar linkages, Justice Loya murder, etc.).

In efficient and irresponsible judiciary
by sasidharan on Jan 12, 2018 10:34 PM

I am not surprised to hear the news on supreme court revolt.I know one judge ,who was a mere scribe of an MLA and hand not handled any case of importance, while working as an advocate in high court, except some petty cases of some religious organisations in revenue and electricity tariff cases. These types of men came to high courts with some favours of their mentors.

Judiciary divided
by Mohan Ranganathan on Jan 12, 2018 09:18 PM

Every India hope and wish that the matter is resolved at the earliest amicably. But the social media owning loyalty to BJP and Congress are in cross roads for and against the protest by 4 judges and others. when senior 4 judges has come out in protest it is very much clear that everything is not in perfect condition in the working of judiciary.
