In my personal opinion, it really doesn't matter to play or sing national anthem to prove anybody patriotism before watching any sort of movies. You call yourself a real patriot when you pay your taxes on right time, when you stop giving or accepting bribe/favor in any form, when you obey the law and not breaking it for personal gains.

But there are people who does not pay taxes hence national anthem should be played! Who told you that if you pay taxes need not stand for national anthem or during flag Hosting! Donât club different issues.
This is one of the extreme case of democracy where some anti-patriotic or anti-Indian would go up to supreme court to ensure that playing national anthem becomes optional or avoided.
