What nonsense is this. I think rediff must be ready to get sued by these people for atleast a million dollars. They had nothing to do with the violence.
this event is celebrating from long time, due to Congress support UMAR and JIGNESH speech provoke ppl which later convert in voilence. Rediff must show truth and tell their boess not to divide india on caste and religion
The problem is that many people support the bicentenary celebration of the Bhima-Koregaon battle fought 200 years ago, without knowing the background of the battle. The celebrations are for the victory of the Foreign occupying force ( the British) against the local Kingdom (Peshawar), in which the Mahars (dalits) were brain-washed by the British's divide-and-rule tactics to fight for them against the Indian rulers. The protests against such an anti-national celebration were 100% right. The celebrations were instigated by the Congress and the Dalit MLA from Gujarat Jignesh Mevani, with complete knowledge that this was setting a bad precedent.
