In theory Auroville is unique. It showcases exceptionaly inventive Architecture. It also offer very authentic western food, sells articles of hi quality design ( a little overpriced at times). But sadly ( this is from a leading figure in Auroville) the bad human qualitie sof rivalry backbiting etc are also commonplace.The place does have an underbelly of drugs etc which is likely to have reduced over the years as lao the tension between the local inhabitants an dteh foreigners.IT is no doubt a unique place but perhaps too ideal to be relicated mainstream.
