Let us forget Tejas...
by Satheesh Angamuthu on Feb 24, 2018 01:42 PM  | Hide replies

Does anyone remember Make In India? Does anyone remember Tejas, that we have been testing for more than a decade? So no Indian made jets and let us always prefer US or European makes to do some scam. Let the Tejas remain in testing stage and we often proudly say MAKE IN INDIA....

India ought to ban all weapons imports and accept consequences such as defeat in wars. Value of self respect, self reliance and own research will not be effectively understood, and those who manipulate things to prevent indigenous development will not be caught and eliminated, otherwise.

New Fighter Jet.. New Project...New Profit..New Scam
by Satheesh Angamuthu on Feb 24, 2018 01:38 PM

Rafael scam is over. The relevant parties have gained good benefit. Now they are targeting F35. This new scam may cross 1 lakh crore. Someone like Ambni, or Adni will get the profit while the joker ruler will get his commission and for his party. When the scam is revealed, they will blame Cong and Nehru.. :) :) :) :) End of the story.

A dalal of defense contractors writing his own wish list
by K Kumar on Feb 24, 2018 07:07 AM

That is what this particular author is - he thinks and pedals himself as a defense expert but actually is nothing but a middleman for some contractors in defense industry who pay him. Nothing he writes is ever true, and is never ever confirmed by the authorities. Like this one too - see the last line. Everything is a figment of his own 'imagination'.

A Game changer
by Shyam Roy on Feb 24, 2018 06:03 AM

F-35 will completely change the power dynamics in this part of Asia. But Indian MOD is loaded with Chinese spies who will do everything to scuttle any fighter jet deal particularly F-35. The there is Rahul Gandhi and his family who have been working for the Chinese for decades will try to scuttle any deal. It will all depend on Modi\'s ability to force the deal through. I hope he does.

Why not, in / for a country of thugs, traitors, debaucherers, rapists of minors, corrupts, unscuples, and also Yogis like Viswamitra who taught 'Bala and Atibala' to Ram & Laxman. I don't mind my friend or Q-P-Q to amass a lakh or two lakh crore but should not spend a FJ @ 2500 crores a piece for the safety of the country. Its like leaving the mother who suffered for 10 months for my birth.

well said. AS is a middleman for some companies who want to sell their stuff in India. And so he does not like anything that is made in India, for there is no commission for him.

Arms agents
by Bharat Kumar on Feb 23, 2018 11:16 AM  | Hide replies

We have a lot of folks who fight against all odds and try put things together - key people constantly lured with offers, or trapped or discouraged. Abdul Kalam stood against all that and got us a missile - a derivative from the space science and research. Some nuclear engineers managed to build a bomb too, with refined radioactive material sneaked out of power reactors. These guys comprise less than 0.01% of the population and provide motivation to the rest of the miserable souls.

Otherwise, we are a country of traders and agents, not builders of anything. We have a large population of maintenance folks who are good at fixing and patching things, sloppily - that is the IT services business.

What else can we do, if people breed like rats and only devour? One species competes with the other to be in the majority. That rat race began since the destruction of our places of art and wealth by the uncivilized raiders from destroyed civilizations.
Our subcontinent became a dump through which we wade through. There are very few who get inspired to live here

Increase R&D in all spheres of def equipment manufacturing in
by rajesh venkatraman on Feb 23, 2018 11:15 AM

We need to increase our R&D in the areas of aeronautic and material engineering with main concentration on the design & development. Also the material to be used light weight and study which can also help in the making of accessories and suits for the soldiers like life jackets, headgears.
We first need to identify the key requirements for the 3 defense services according to the needs like defending the seas, coastal installations, ports, sea borders, stealth equipments, patrolling etc
similarly for army the need to have good battle equipments like guns, pistols, mobile automated firing equipment, remote controlled firing equipment, sensor based detection and firing equipment, communication units, bridge makers, camaflogued paints / material, accurate firing mortars, ammunition of different variety, splinters,
night vision equipment, winter suits, flares that will help light up the area, chemicals that will clear the dense weed growth, along the border.
Tanks, long range fast firing equipment, launchers,
mobile firing like in fast moving vehicles like jeep, covered armory to carry soldier to the front.

One who is painfully agonizing to get Maruti 800 for years now hoping to get Lamborghini. They say, hope floats eternal in the breast of IAF/Indian Army/Navy.
