Nothing is forgotten:Katchathievu, denial of Public Sector Industries as compared to neighbourhood, imperial ways of foreigness imposing , contribution to mass murder of --- in ----. etc etc R.Ponnambalam

If down stream riparian rights are dishonured by India why at all we must be a Country together denying internationally honoured rights to one's own citizensR.Ponnambalm
If rivers are nationalized by a promulgation of law, there is a danger that the party ruling at the Centre may use it as a political tool..Even the water needs of Bangalore ,as they say, may be right or wrong , and for which they ought to have brought The Ganges is because of the Govt, playing political games by allotting all Govt. of industries in 1950s to KARNATAKA and one another S.Indian State depriving them to Kerala and Tamilnadu .The Govt. at Center plays a divisive role R.Ponnambalam

Bore wells in Tamilnadu are Private property , made ,owned in private land and maintained by Private money.Even the Tamilnadu Govt. has no right on it.The Govt. of India has habits like giving away Tamilnadu's propety:have you heard of Katcha thievu islands.Now citing ground water level reducing the flow of Cauvery water.This rediff board would not display it if I write more.already once it has deleted R.Ponnambalam
“Karnataka gives water.”Sir, Cauvery brings water to these states.When was it that Karnataka made cauvery river. Cong. Govt. had the habit of giving adulterated history .Have you got at least that such history .Then why you had not built or made a river to bring The Ganges to Bangalore through you benefactor the Cong.Govt. of India who gave a good number of Public Sector Industries to you at the cost of Kerala and Tamilnadu which by development might have caused the need to water Bangalore as you say.Downstream riparian rights are internationally honoured and are honourable.If the upper stream state makes any use other than the centuries old use-right then must ensure the right to down stream state and do anything.Else it is a SIN not just a Crime.You and your Govt. of India R.Ponnambalam

Karnataka gives water to no other state;Karnataka robs the water that cauvery's NATURAL or inherent Flow has assured to these states from time immemorial .Karnataka does one of the ----est. ( Rediff may not display that word).To give is a divine grace, the real human trait .Karnataka doen't have ;it robs the dues of others.R.Ponnambalam

There is escalating competing demand for water across sectors such as agriculture, industry and domestic/urban uses.”Then is it not right that agencies, be it Governmental or Private who effect those, do such things in well planned thought out manner without infringing on the riparian right of down stream places or states.In India the pattern is that people settle anywhere affecting the riparian rights of down stream states and the State Govts.totally fail in there duty to have them settled properly providing them all their water needs.They had abdicated their responsibility /The individuals STATES have created the problem and harm the down stream riparian states and make bad blood between states.Riparian rights of down stream states is universally respected and accepted .We india!!!!STATES CAUSE DISPUTES R.PONNAMBALAM
