It is true that we have denied our own history to align ourselves with the so called western liberal morality.

This is nothing but racism by other means.

There is something called discretion, where we choose what is important to us rather than what is prescribed some white men in Europe

Is crucifixion important to be remembered?? If yes then why is it remembered?

Is it important to remember "Then God said, âTake your son to the land of Moriah and kill your son there as a sacrifice for me. This must be Isaac, your only son, the one you love. Use him as a burnt offering on one of the mountains there. I will tell you which mountain.â" from the book of Genesis. Why is it important to remember it?

NONSENSE
Present day abuse on ‘freedom of speech” ALLOWS A MAN TO SAY ‘NONSENSE’ IF THE MATTER DOES NOT ENTER HIS GREY MAATER OF A DUMB BRAIN!
That’s why we saw many british system followers scorned bharatiya established systems!
REGARDING ‘SATI’ ‘JAUHAR’ it ws a rite followed by DEDICATED WIVES OF THOSE DAYS not like present day wives who are unofficially polygamies right from pre marriage stage by virtue of free mixings granted as freedom!
Of course as there ill users in ‘sati’ too social authorities applied pressures on unwilling females
Which is torture BUT THAT FEMALE TOO IS NOT OF THAT DEDICATED STANDARD! Unfortunately there is no scientific instrument to detect whse mind is working what way!
So know matters in deopth and facts as real and then talk!

According to Wikipedia, Jauhar is derived from Jatugriha, a house of wax (lac) which could be used to burn alive the people inside. My search to connect jatu with lac did not yield any information.
