Do not blame the messenger because of the message. The BJP/RSS combination of communal hegemony mixed with the arrogance of a brute majority in Parliament along with a NO ON CAN TOUCH US attitude has caused this tidal wave of problems (which can cost them at the polls) to overtake the BJP/RSS. Plus do not forget the regular foot in the mouth utterances the latest by Bhagwat and Parrikar. All in all a recipe for disaster at the hustings in a couple of months.

Every act of the Modi govt relating to scams past and present reveals this fact !
The Rafale scam is the Modi govts most visible act yet of big corruption (there is no reason other than the need to hide that made Nirmala Sitharaman renege on her earlier promise to the media to reveal the full price of the Rafale fighter and the IGA which she mentioned was clearly an afterthought of an excuse). But the way it made the CBI drag and weaken the case against the 2G accused (so much so that the judge chided it for not showing seriousness in prosecuting) Raja and Kanimozhi in order to help the much bigger thief lurking in the background - Anil Ambani - escape is an equally stark testimony for how ruthlessly unscrupulous it is to help its croxny capitalist friends to get away with plunder !
In the case of the PNB scam, the Modi govt has been making noises that the scam took place under the Congress led UPA. However, this directly contradicts what the CBI - which is under its control - found and stated, viz, that the scam took place almost entirely in the current year (2017-18) !
The CBI has even filed an FIR to this effect !
The BJP govt seems to be certain that its trump card - Narendra Modis high pitched grating voice in which he ceaselessly raises a din in earthy language featuring a lot of drama, fiction and high flown election eve promises - will continue to fool a large enough segment of north Indians !

for looking the other way while diamond thief Nirav Modi and his family defrauded the Punjab National Bank, the CBI has said that a majority of the Letters of Understanding (LoUs) in the Rs 11,400-crore scam were either issued or were renewed in the bank in 2017-18 !
The CBI on Feb 15 registered a fresh FIR in the case against Mehul Choksi, maternal uncle of Nirav Modi, and his three companies claiming that they swindled PNB to the tune of Rs 4,886.72 crore in 2017-18 by way of getting 143 LoUs issued through the bank.
Notably, the first FIR in the case dealing with swindling of Rs 280.7 crores through eight LoUs registered by the agency on January 31 also mentions that the LoUs were issued in 2017. To this FIR, the CBI has now added new information provided by PNB on Wednesday and estimated the total loss in the first FIR at Rs 6,498 crore.
The cumulative figure for the total loss to PNB thus stands close to Rs 11,400 crore.
CBI sources stated in a presser that since the accused â Modi and his relatives â were rolling over the LoU money by way of getting them renewed, many old LoUs too have been renewed in 2017. The CBI on Friday questioned four PNB officials in connection with the case. Notably, they are all being probed for their dealings with Modi and his companies between 2014 and 2017 !

In short, the pointers are very clear - that the Central govt led by Narendra Modi is blatantly lying when it says that the PNB scam was caused by or developed under the previous govt !
