Firstly, the kind of people drafted into police services are raw in every possible way. If you add the regional bias to it, the cocktail of outrage becomes deadly.
It wouldn't be a surprise if the policewoman manages to get her way because of a compromised officer - her superior or higher. She must also be venting out her angst at her treatment and confronting her own folks!
Display of outrage and anger publicly, is different from politics and definitely not sport. In the current environment of name calling, anything and everything is fair play. Is it a surprise even Virat Kohli thinks it is, though he can win on sheer merit !
The downturn really began with the maut ka saudagar comment, which should have been retracted. Since then it has been eye for an eye, which won't stop until the anarchy results in destruction, like the Dwaraka of Yadavas.
The moment the Govt. sends a subtle message to the law enforcers to, if necessary, break the law in what they think is the pursuit of improving law and order, they will soon overstep. Look what is happening in UP.

Sorry for you Ankita. Nobody should have to undergo this ordeal. What has shocked me most is the deafening silence of your colleague Syed Firdaus Ashraf and Aakar Patel. They do not appear to have spoken a word against this. It hardly matters, if they have consoled you in private. They need to do openly. Otherwise, I think all their actions, reams of criticism of systems is politically motivated and they dont find any value in joining your cause.
Instead of stressing on the need to change the work culture at our government departments and the Police department specifically, we tend to pass the buck on to the governments in power at that moment and consider our job done. We all understand that they are still carrying on the old mindset of the 'sarkari babus' and yet after so many years of progress we have not done anything to change this. Let this journalists fight for justice trigger a movement in that direction. Support her cause.

Just wondering, why didn't the fellow passengers, some of whom would have got down, not confront the policewoman? The asked Ankita to represent, but don't come forward when she is cornered ! Surely, at least one of them would have read this story?
After a former general took it out on the press for covering his age issue and called some of the senior editors as presstitutes, journalists became easy fodder for everyone ! Now even a lowly constable can blow her top.

Yes let's Support her cause it is a noble endeavor to save the Nation from these goons who in uniform try to law in their hand and think public are worthless creature. RPF first of all is full of such people who take fat salary but hardly work.
As long as people with low moral value and education exists in governmental job it is not possible to answer the question. Harassment in the hands of state machineries are our irony for living in democracy. Police, judiciary, legislators all corrupt. As long as you do not come in contact of them you enjoy but the moment you face them misery unbearable- I feel pity for you to be the unlucky one.

Rightly said. Unfortunately, these are the kind of people any public will get to interact at first. This country is only for people with mony ,power and influence.

But his boss is always in the election mode. He is heading to achieve 100 percent majority in 100 percent states of the country. This is the only goal.
