Isn't this a case of a politician getting undeserved protection just because he was a Minister ? This idea of getting sanction from someone before prosecution is utterly ridiculous. The judge has not even enquired whether the evidence is strong enough to convict him. Look at the case where the Israeli Police probed PM Netanyahu . There was no nonsense like getting a sanction , so that he could escape. Most of the accused in the Sohrabuddin murder have got away using this sanction clause.
