Why belittle Pakodewala? This pakodewala earns anywhere between 2 to 5 thousands daily after expenses, better than a ceo of any company. They dress modestly, fooling us, but earning in lakhs per month. No wounder when taxmen raid these pakodewalas, they unearth crores of money from them.

This would not be proper. But the question is that whether he files an income-tax return.
Even if it is Rs. 2000 per day, the total income works out to Rs. 7,30,000 per annum or the GST?
He is exempt from all taxation. Will Modi haul him up?
It will hold the honest tax payer responsible to run the country on his revenue.
Every one has the right to a living but equally his has the right to pay a tax also, which is being borne only because the taxable person has no avenue to escape like the Pakodawala.

Most corrupt politician in the world
by Suresh Babu on Feb 08, 2018 03:38 PM  | Hide replies

Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is the most corrupt politician in the world. No other PM never has looted this much amount of Rs. 59000 crores, which Modi looted in the deals of Rafale warplane. Modi should submit his resignation immediately.

Commie Babu, first write about three ministers of Kerala government who were forced to resign for their misdeeds before pointing your dirty fingers at others. You will be only one idiot who only can consider Modi as corrupt. You Commies all the time have only bald, vague and wild allegations with absolutely no evidence to substantiate any of your allegations. You can not do anything except kraaaa.......kraaaaa........kraaaaa ........all the time.

This article completely misleads the reader about the views of Pakodawallahs by Mr. Amit Shah. Every one knows that majority of such sellers in Mumbai are doing illegal business. Such thriving of activities is because of the unholy nexus between these vendors, local BMC authorities, police and politicians ultimately at the cost of Mumbai's health, cleanliness. I will not hesitate to add that these vendors have given rise to black money in Mumbai. In a way this article without understanding the thinking behind what Mr. Amit Shah has said tries to support the illegal businesses in Mumbai. The blame surely lies at the door of ruling party. What Mr. Shah meant is respecting the dignity of labour. In India people involved in such business are looked down upon. Let's face the facts. People working in what we call blue collared work force are generally considered down the ladder of social respect. We need to change that. That's what Amit Shah meant. The problem with today's youth is that they don't want to work in such areas because of social castigation they receive. This is what Amit Shah wants to stop. In fact I know many Indian students who will not mind taking up such jobs when they are abroad and earn money to finance their education. But will they do the same think back home. Everybody knows the answer. Mr. Amit Shah wants to change that. In fact I would respect a self employed person who works honestly and not a selfish and corrupt IAS office holding high post.

genuine journalism is extinct iin India
by auryas on Feb 08, 2018 02:56 PM

Genuine journalism is all but extinct in India. What we have is

Prejudiced reporting (loaded)

Concocted information

Manufactured crises

Biased analysis ( if you call it analysis)

Bugaboos ( you see 'SHOCKING' news under this)

Titillation in the name of entertainment: someone
who shows her under cloths off is hailed as BOLD.

Sleaze shown under the garb of entertainment
(GET A HEAD batch of sh^t)

Gossip

Trivia

On one occasion a political figure called Indian media R%%di Khana where you can buy any thing for a price.

Do'nt necessarily agree to it because there is a very small section of the media - the last bastion of sane journalism which is holding the fort. But it is a minority. Rest of the media fraternity alas is what the gentleman claimed it is WH%RE HOUSE.
