Anna University?
by V Nagarajan on Feb 19, 2018 03:43 PM

Anna University started a BE course in Tamil. Some students also joined and graduated. But the sad part was that they did not get a job.So the university abandoned the idea. There is no doubt that Sanskrit,Tamil and all the Indian languages are great languages.Everyone must study them for the real beauty of it.For getting a job one needs to study in English medium.Even Germans,Chinese and the Japs have realized this and have started learning English.Personally i was also a victim of Tamil medium education.I had to struggle a lot to get proficient in English. This is not a prejudice but necessity? No offences meant.Further, there are 12 major languages and any number of minor languages, what will we learn?

that Mahatma Gandhi chose to try to promote the hindi language as a link language.

It was more unfortunate that successive Congress govts tried hard and spent a great deal of scarce public wealth to impose hindi as a link language all across the country.

But it is a disaster that the current BJP govt, led by a man who claims to be a post graduate but can barely speak English and supported by the sangh parivar which is so thick skulled that it just cant understand that hindi is only a regional language like other Indian languages, burns up even more public resources in its vain bid to further spread hindi !

The dunces imagine that hindi can someday actually replace English in every way !!

Standing for our own language indicates a degree of confidence.
The germans, japanese and the russians are all having their own languages.
We are the only country that feels less proud of our own language

Why are we speaking so low of our mother tongue
There is no other country which will demonise its own language just like India does.

Germans Japs are single Country and we are a diverse nation made of different countries , so a single language from a certain states dominating entire India will not be accepted .
Learning State Language with English should be Encouraged by the way for Maths and Science English is perfect than anyother Indian Langauge .
We should understand India was never a single country it is was united by British .

Hindi is not my mother language. So instead learning Hindi as additional language I learnt English. It was beneficial for me. No one can be a patriot in an empty stomach .Those who are advocating Hindi are actually sending their children and grand children to fancy English medium school.
