It is easier said than done. Wear his shoes and then feel the pain, you will realise what he did was done in utter disgust. In fact the company should be taken to court for not following the SOP for handling such issues as rightly said by his wife.
The guy was suspended, not dismissed. He was suspended cos many individuals in powerful positions use that period to coerce victims, buy witnesses and use every trick in the book to wriggle free. To ensure a fair probe, it is imperative that the individual does not come in contact with anyone in that period. Secondly, is there smoke without fire? How can you assume that he was NOT guilty? Why would anyone file a case just for the heck of it? Lastly, why did he commit suicide?

We will never know the other side. The aspect of MeToo that most MCPs do not mention is that multiple women call out men who have behaved in almost the same manner but without any evidence and without they knowing each other. It is so easy for a man to say something with sexual overtones and then get away with it because there is no evidence. And even if there are witnesses he is convinced that they will not testify against him. I have seen this behaviour where some men use completely inappropriate language in hearing range of women and all that the women do is stare at their computers as if they are in a different world. When I spoke to these men they asked me not to interfere when the women did not complain. What happens with MeToo is that the women mention this behaviour believing that they are the only victims or that this was a one off instance where the man behaved indecently. MeToo helps the other women realize that this man is a predator who has done (and gotten away) with other women.
