Not all SC's consider themselves non-Hindus; but Ms Savitribai Plule like people do. Hinduism has its holy books and books of Law and Manusmriti is one of them.
In all the parties there are people who do politics of convenience. When you are in need, you bow as much as you please the master. Once your work is done, you go against your own master and keep talking all the -ve's just to create masala/base for next journey or joining other party. In those times they do not talk sensibly because they are in a hurry to leave one master and trying to please another master to whom they are ready to join. Unless you talk much -ve, you are not increasing your weight in-front of your new boss. This is the reality and compulsion of Indian politics. In private they may say something different.
