and the Kerala Congress, like the BJP, are parties of thieves !
And the muxlim league, just like the BJP, sees religion and religious identity based rabble rousing as the best ways to hide their acts of theft of public wealth from their stuxpid supporters !
Muslim league is generally of fanatic mentality and they are deeply connected with religion. The simple fact that a party exists mainly based on religious identity even in the name shows how religous the party or its members are. So, naturally, why would they use their brains and why would they not support anything concerning religion. They might also be equally fearing that CPM and present CM can interfere in their faiths also. Thats the only reason they are supporting. Else why don't these people as well those protesting have the guts to say this to SC that SC has no right to interfere in religious matter and that they or those supporting their party will never adhere or listen to SC court and will follow their own rule and law and not Indian law or Indian constitution. Not a communist but can never support or accept what Muslim league or Congress or BJP's views. Similarly, Left is also equally biased in treating similar issues concerning different religious. So, in a way, they too are very religious though they might not say that and frankly every party main motto is only vote, nothing else.

The old Ko-Li-Bi arrangement - open arrangement between the Congress and the Muxlim League and clandestine arrangement between the Muxlim League and BJP in select constituencies in Kerala during election time - keeps popping out into the open every now and then !
This seemingly very disparate arrangement has only objective - combine their votes in constituencies where they have a fighting chance to push the Left front to 2nd place !
The Ko-Li-Bi arrangement was most prominently visible during the 2006 assembly election in Kerala. In this election, the BJP withdrew from many constituencies where it consistently used to post candidates and focused all their attention on just 2 constituencies. In turn, the Congress party posted unknown candidates in these 2 constituencies and made only token campaigning there.
The results, however, made a mockery of the Ko-Li-Bi. The Left won 96 seats out of 140 and the Congress led UDF won the remaining 44 seats !
And in the 2 seats where the Congress and the Muxlim League clandestinely supported the BJP candidates, the latter ended up in 2nd place but still lost their deposits !
Constitution is not imposed by outside authority, or by those who are dead and gone. It is a dynamic document, open to review and revision all the time. If it is being interpreted against the ethos of a community, referendum is the only way, on social matters. Why the Jury System and Referendum was not incorporated in the Constitution? Were the Sickulicks afraid of their Hindu Subjects?
