After frenzied action for 2 months at and around the temple under the impression that they have been given an unprecedented opportunity to try and polarize the Kerala electorate on religious identity lines, BJP leaders have been knocked into a stupor now since the results of elections to 39 vacant local bodies across 14 districts in Kerala came out !
This election was the first one since the BJP raised fever pitch at Sabarimala. Its leaders have been going around implying and saying in plain words that their party is in game change mode now and taunting everyone to wait till the results of the first elections were declared.
And....what actually happened ?
In the 39 seats, the BJP won 2 seats (the same number that they had earlier) !
The left front led by the CPM increased its tally from 21 to 22 !
The UDF led by the Congress declined from 15 to 12 !
Oh.....the Kerala electorate !
Why....just why....just why cant it be as stuxpid as that in North India to forget about prosaic and unimportant matters such as governance and reduction in corruption and concentrate solely on hyndu.........muxlim..........hyndu.....muxlim ???
