The author of this article(Name deliberately suppressed)has stopped short of Finance Minister Jaitley elaborate explanation of the apparent differential price per piece of the aircraft , making the article HALF TRUTH!!!. Obviously the writer wants to put the NDA govt. in the dock by writing half truth. Per piece price of Airframe(Bare aircraft without engine and the special Avionics/armaments suit) is roughly one-third the cost, Engine accounts for another one-third of the cost and Modern Avionics with armament suit is the balance cost of the fully loaded aircraft in the Fly-away condition.These days the cost of the Advanced avionics/armaments can far exceed the cost of the airframe!!!
