Kerala Fishermen came out of the blues to save a lot of people and overshadowed the equally valuable hard work done by Indian Army, DRDF and Kerala Police & Fire Force to save many lives along with the assistance of local people as well. Had it been an earth quake kind of situation, the Fishermen might not have been this much effective in the resuce front. They are battling with the Seas and this experience helped them to deal with this kind of situation. But their selfless service to humanity will be never forgotten in the near future and we are all happy that these most neglected people came to the lime light and proved a point that united we stand, we can face all such challenges. I am sure even the Army and other designated rescue wings will also be proud to have been associated with these brave hearts who are not strangers, but our own brothers.
