I am sorry to say that i didnt see all this technological prowess work for us on ground. We need supercomputers to compile data and project expected conditions and pass it to the concerned departments real-time for action. There were huge miscoordinations and confusions on ground resulting in the casualty and poor preparation with shifting people to the camps etc. Too many livestocks had been lost. Ofcourse the digitization of operations are still in the nascent stage of implementation. Still with better alertness and coordination the ground reality could have been maintained much better than what is today. The state govt is only a nodal agency in this case and had the proper and timely inputs been there they would have been better equipped to avert some of the disasters. Hope in future we will be better equipped with seamless communication etc to address any possible disasters of the kind.
