Up in the air they were together with the Revenue Minister. Decided on the amount to be asked as flood relief from the centre and what would be the share for each. Kerala is among the worst plastic zones with all its water ways clogged and narrowed with encroachments. The roads are very bad full of pot holes and soil erosion. A seperate Disaster Management cell is necessary for the state to take stock of the situation and come with a plan to ensure all the encroachments are brought back into Government fold. All rivers and canals cleaned up and the water ways are clear of debris and encroachments. This was a wake up call to set aside petty politics and work for the people and restore Kerala again as 'Gods own country'.

People of Kerala are accustomed to shutter lifting. So the shutters of iddukki dam lifted without notice by saying only trial run did not still fear in them. These guys daily wait for hours waiting for two shutters of Beverages Corporation to be lifted. So when the dam shutters are being lifted they just thought it was new Beverages Corporation outlet with five shutters.
