A very bold article that provides an eye opening narrative of the Muslim traditions still rooted to the medieval practices of uncivilised society. The irony is that the il treated women are afraid to be vocal on this social evil that even the so called intellectuals of their religious faith do nt come forward to reform this practice of triple talak.
In the past polygamy, multiple wives systems existed in Hindus also. With time, as per demand of the time and on humanitarian grounds Hindus have reformed their society and made civil laws etc to have one wife/one husband only and talaak (divorce) from both ends is not an easy task. Our Civil Laws mostly come from the style of Lord Ram's Life (Ramayan) who advocates SINGLE WIFE SMALL FAMILY NORMS and respect for womanhood. Why can't others also change ?

True...it was mistake of our politicians....bogus secularism..... with partition there would have declared Hindu Rashtra n common civil code...
there is no security of women.society irrespective of religion shall resolve issue to help divorced women.they too are human being. misinterpretation of verses of HOLY QURAN has made women like beggars.all must work on common law.
"""""a book of around 6,000 verses and 114 surahs across 30 chapters is memorised by millions WITHOUT THEIR UNDERSTANDING A SENTENCE""""" rEMARKABLE INDEED. But I think Triple Talq is Zaiz. "Talaq Talaq Talaq" 3 times. Makes it a total of 9 times. Separated by 1 month each time. It is a remarkable safe guard against Non-Deliberate utterance.
