beyond divisions
by Pinaki Pandit on Aug 11, 2018 10:22 AM

It was a Brit Co that came first to colonize us, in between we went with the Queen mother, and we are back being managed by companies.

It may sound sweeping but the subcontinent is not in its own control, we talk of an agency trying to control Pak, we are bitten by the same pain in north. But by other means our forests, cities(under world) and the entire terms of reference in policies, who is doing all that?

There is so much talk of the plight of KashmirHindus (no doubt it is heart breaking), but imaging the Muslim population, are they not facing enormous pain, being killed (mukbir) their children being robed? When will the subcontinent start looking beyond divisions and we be free for good?

The people of J&K have to be given independence in their decision making & no outside power can be allowed to make or take decisions for them. They have their own Constitution & Flag which should be respected & special rights conferred on them by the Indian Constitution. This will have to prevail & outside forces should refrain from stoking the fires of secession.

This has been kept from the last 70 years, why Jihadis and separatists. It means their integrity is in doubt.
Forces are for external threat, why they compel them to come for internal matters.

as long as the political class does not accept that Turks, Arabs and Central Asians were invaders who violated human rights, freedom of expression and freedom of faith; and take corrective actions; solutions will evade.

Why is the media raking up this issue after 65 years??? Let the sleeping dogs sleep, why rake repeatedly?? There are other issues to tackle.

...
fountainhead of this whole problem is people like Rediff bosses. if not for them, we would have had peace.

look at the way china controls tibet even though they didnt have the right to. Whereas JK was part of India, but we dont need enemies like Pak when we have within us people like Rediff who publish such articles.

I am feeling from long ago, what you have expressed today. I always wonder why in the name of freedom of speech, this is been allowed. I last read articles in rediff 2 years back. I stopped reading rediff only because of this.

Sachin buddujeev please note that China is a totalitarian state & India is the world's largest Democracy. There is something called history which you & your RSS mongrels keep thinking it begins & ends with a failed king.

Where we stand on Kashmir after 70 years of independence in relation to article 370 or 35A, do not see any change in peace or harmony or respect for the country in Valley. In such circumstances-administrative or Military solution is the answer, not the present democratic set up there.
Anyone who supports democratic right or reconciliation with separatists or Jihadis-all bullshit.
We need permanent solution to wage a final war first within Kashmir with us, secondly if needed for POK.
