We are secular isn't?
by Arvind Gupta on Aug 07, 2018 10:42 AM

One more sickular arrow from the depleting quiver of special minority people. The writer is biased and hide many things that should be presented, It is fact that one cannot buy land in HP and Sikkim but one can buy an apartment/flat or condominium unlike J&K where rest of Indians cannot buy even an apartment or condo.

Article 35-A
by Mandar Walvekar on Aug 07, 2018 10:42 AM

Kashmiris should not hide behind Himachal and Sikkim issue. The issue should be discussed for all states and totally abolished. If you claim to be citizen of India and enjoying all the benefits (sometimes more than what is deserved), why do you require separate laws and articles to protect such time-barred provisions which has no significance in this modern world and which are only becoming a tool in the hands of all sections of the society who are interested in separating the people of India over one issue or the other.

In Himachal or Sikkim there are no separatist. Himachal and Sikkim, are not eating away the resources from other parts of India as J&K does. What J&K contribute to the rest of the nation ? Are they an asset or a liability to the other parts of the nation ? There should not be any special status to any particular state. People of the country respective from any state, should have the freedom to settle down the place where they wish to.

Howmany special statutes India is going to pamper kashmir with
by auryas on Aug 07, 2018 10:28 AM

These guys who protest should first accept to abrogate special status to Kashmir if they want to be treated like Sikkim and HP.

They want article 370 and now 350A and so on.

How many special statutes are we going to pamper kashmir with ?

Uttarakhand also require this type of law to save the identity of its original inhabitants as outsiders thronging here day by day. Its leaders are purely dumb and making money from outsiders giving soaps to them.

Purchase of land by outsiders
by S S on Aug 07, 2018 10:22 AM  | Hide replies

Kashmiris are right in protesting when land purchases is not allowed in many other states of NE India,Sikkim, HP. Therefore central government should come out with a policy like Gujarat & Maharashtra to allow purchase of land to agriculturists all over India. Even the IT exemption under Schedule 6 should be abolished now as it is not relevant after so many years of development of all regions. DR S S SANGWAN

Then, Kashmiris should accept the same status as HP or Sikkim as states of India.

Why should India pamper Kashmir with article 370 ? Special status ? And then dogs in Masks pelt stones at our security forces.

Himachal Pradesh and Sikkim
by auryas on Aug 07, 2018 10:18 AM

Himachal and Sikkim are protected by government of India under special Indigenous people acts.

Besides, as one of our friends here said, in HP , Sikkim, masked dogs do not pelt stones at Indian Armed forces and shout anti_India slogans.

And within India , no state should have any special status except in case of natural calamities.

Any one who has problems with this should get out of INdia and live elsewhere.

Communal to the core
by Sriram R on Aug 07, 2018 10:13 AM

The Congress, the communists, the intellectuals are all communal to the core. There is hardly any act by the Government that can be viewed by these people in an unbiased manner. Every act by Government is viewed from majority-minority angle only. And these are supposedly called secular by main strem media. What a joke
