Instead of showing desperation SC should do an introspection. It is the slow justice deliverance process of Indian courts that encourages such crime. Courts in India enjoy more holidays than kindergartens. Rape cases should be heard in court continuously without break till judgement is pronounced and the accused should not be granted bail. Judges should take turn to attend the case. Court must show urgency in such cases. Punishment should be harshest and castration must be made mandatory where death penalty is not awarded. On the other hand for persons who falsely make rape charges the punishment should be equally tough.

What further they can do? already hardest punishment is provided. Rather we demand that all hard core criminals, kidnappers, corrupts must also be hanged. Why SC is lenient with them. Is their crime lesser. Similarly if fake punishment is given to any male against a framed complaint by a lady or any dalit, that lady or dalit should also be hanged.
First of all, rape cases dont get decided fast, even if the culprit is found guilty, the punishment is not severe. Even when death penalty is given it is not executed swiftly ... Nirbhaya case is a living example ... convicts are still not hanged, Surinder Koli of Nithari case is still not hanged ... Criminals have no fear of law, courts cannot escape their responsibility for this sorry state of affairs ... they must take the blame as well ...
Real men wont rape. It is high time to educate your sons how to behave with girls, women and elders. With the new law and faster trail and conviction will do best. The conviction rate should increase above 50% from the 10-12%. There is nothing wrong in giving death penalty and India has 1.3 billion people. Criminals will remain as criminals only . it is very difficult to change them. Like me , I am sure many of you have noticed the fact that a culprit when caught in one case was either in jail or on bail for some other crimes.

There should be data available for incidents per million population and local Population Density. All states are different size and differently dense population. How can anyone -in right thinking mode-compare just the ststes? Law is being flouted, within good knowledge of those responsible for it. If a cattle is stolen, policemen don't even lodge a complaint; by the time any law amchinery moves, cattle will be finished and consumed. There would be no evidence left. Only deterrent punishment will work in this case. Children are vanishing without any trace. tens of thousands. Has any one power (Executive, Judiciary, Beaurocracy, Census Authorities) taken it seriously? Despite ban on Cow Slaughter and Cattle Smuggling; these activities continue. Cattle smugling across borders is not stopped by police....If the enforcement machinery winks selectively, who will enforce the law?
