Such articles are interesting to read, not horribly boring articles full of (bogus) jargon. Most of our foreign policy articles fall into the later category. Most books on Indian foreign policy can kill a person by inflicting massive boredom, assuming the reader can finish the book at all. It is time the author writes a book on Indian foreign policy, diplomacy starting from (at least) 1947. He certainly has seen a lot of it first hand. Whether the reader will agree with him or not is a different matter.

Looks like this Abassador guy Srinivasan jumping the gun and trying to equate Modi Xi meeting with Trump , Putin closed door meeting in Helsinki.
Putin , Trump meeting is a different animal and in the back drop of a totally different set of domestic and international conditions.
Great. Now, even western controversies are aped in India.
Is there ANY SANE , NON-BLOW HOLE thinker in India ? Why are we so desperately eager to make our presence known even though floating conspiracy theories ?
As far as foreign policy is concerned, PM has the prerogative and the foreign policy team is not obliged to tell every one.

It may be anything including a suppliant`s assurance that India will not object to what Xi does in Doklam, or it could be a request not to say a word to the world about this pleasure trip. What other reason can there be when "125 karod" people of India are shown their place.

Rahul, like his mother and grandmother and Nehru the great knows exactly when not to impose an unpleasant "informal summit" on foreign dignitaries. It is quite likely that these great nations` leaders show grace in heir response and reactions not because of anything else but the people of India.
