Shady???
by palanki narayana on May 01, 2018 05:28 PM

Does an organisation become 'shady' for us just because it was founded outside India? The organisation is international, striving to get the prisoners of conscience (who languish in jail for decades, often without trial) released. Some times the effort takes decades as in the case of Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan and Shiekh Abdullah. In spite of the efforts being long drawn and frustrating, the list of prisoners Amnesty managed to get freed since 1961 is impressive. The organisation had as its secretaries- general leaders from all over the world, including India's Salil Shetty. Amnesty was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1977 and UN Human Rights Prize in 1978.

Amnesty guys closed their offices in Kashmir after their shady activities have been exposed.

There are serious chargers of sedition on Amnesty International in Kashmir .

These guys work like sleeper cell for the western countries to keep India boiling at the borders so that India continues with it's defense business with the west. Especially UK.

Amnesty International is a shady org with dubious reputation
by auryas on Apr 29, 2018 10:55 AM  | Hide replies

Amnesty International is one shady organization which doubles up as agent of the west in developing countries. Like many western NGOs , it is funded to drive western interests and businesses rather subtly.

AI, and other NGOs interfere with internal matters of other countries in the garb of human rights violation ( this is applicable for pretty much every human rights thing).

People at the helm of affairs of AI are known to be agents of certain political outfit favored by the west and funded by the west. So it is a quid pro quo relation between certain political party and these NGOs. These shady organizations and shady people who are proxies to the agencies of other countries.

Amnesty was harassed in many countries besides India. (Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Argentina, Turkey, Portugal to name a few). None of these countries can be called paragons of virtue. Some of the cases taken up by Amnesty in these countries are for the activists who later died in prison or simply disappeared.
