The man pleads guilty of violating the prohibition law, but wants to be excused because he belongs to a particular caste.
For more than 50 years, this country has made caste as the criterion for giving undue share of opportunities in education, jobs, promotions.
All this caste-based pampering prompts doesn't seem to be enough.
People are also asking for caste-based pardon -- "I will commit crimes, but please let me off because of my caste".
