For all crimes committed, it is mostly the members of public responsible (sometimes policemen too, like that DIG in Haryana during Congress times , who forced one teenage girl to commit suicide by stalking). For all failures of convictions, Police is responsible. For all acquitals, lawyers are responsible. For all delays, judiciary is responsible. .. Rate of conviction should be made public. If it is less tha 60%, public should be allowed to take law in their own hands.

Looks as if the whole criminal justice system is driven by the placard holding protesters.
And society is becoming a blood thirsty monster.

Then go to some Middle eastern country where they chop humans into pieces publicly.
Guess in India more and more people are abusing democracy is evident from the fact that people get in streets at teh drop of a hat.
Yes. it is a gruesome crime and yes it needs to be punished hard .
But looks like society is getting blood thirsty.
Remember revenge breeds revenge and violence breeds violence.
Can NEVER EVER prevent crimes with harsh punishments.

Do you have any data to back your claims (that revenge breeds revenge. etc.)? If that indeed is the case, then police and judicial departments should be dissolved.

People will have no sympathy if they Look at those terorists in the photo sops, they did maximum rape in the history & destroyed temples all over India & Indian subcontinent, claiming ilam. Bangladesh alone killed & raped 35 lakh Hindus & converted all. Congess, Comunist, JNU intellects are playing politics with them.
