among north Indians explicitly and implicitly betray the following self delusions they carry around :
1. That they are all extremely fair in skin colour and have acquiline raxcial features (thin red lips, thin and prominent noses, less bulbous cheeks, etc.)
True, a small proportion of north Indians consists of men and women who are very fair and do indeed have central Asian acquiline raxcial features. But these men and women live primarily in the north western states - H.P, Haryana, Kashmir, Punjab. Far lesser numbers live in U.P, Bihar, M.P, etc. And there are so called low caste men and women too in these regions with very fair skin !
The upper caste north Indians who are not so fair and look like most other Indians seek consolation by calling themselves *wheatish* !
2. They think that they are drawn from a well defined and unmixed *Aryan* raxce in contrast to the rest of the Indian population, which they believe are drawn from an equally well defined and unmixed *draxvidian* raxce. They believe that *Draxvidians* were originally settled in India and *Aryans* joined them several thousand years ago.
3. The upper caste north Indians also imagine that *white skinned Aryans* and *black skinned draxvidians* did not mix or intermarry or cross breed all through thousands of years of co-existence in war, peace, turmoil, displacement !
4. But most of these upper caste north Indians are also staunch believers in the RSS and blindly follow whatever the RSS tells them

5. The RSS keeps saying that the first immigrants as well as invaders in the Indian sub continent were the muxlims in the 10th century CE. It takes great pains to emphasise that no one - absolutely no one - ever entered India through the north western corridor at any period before the muxlims in the 10 century !
Murli Joshy, HRD minister in NDA I, even made this profound info part of school history textbooks for the ICSE and the CBSE !
Dutifully, the north Indian upper castes pretend to believe the RSS in this matter or take turns believing in *Aryan* migration into India or the *no one ever came to India before the muxlims* RSS theory, depending on how it serves their ego in a given situation.
Both the RSS as well as the north Indian upper castes who follow the RSS have to reconcile this obvious contradiction in their beliefs.
If the RSS is right in saying that no one ever came to India before the muxlims in the 10th century C.E and that all the people resident in the Indian sub-continent before the muxlim advent had the same DNA and were genetically the same, the only plausible reason for a minority of north Indians getting to be very fair and possessing acquiline features is the raxpe of their great grand mothers through several centuries by muxlim invaders from central Asia !
In other words, sections of the north Indian upper castes (who have extremely fair skin and acquiline features) have to reconcile with the fact that they are all baxtards of muxlim invaders !
When you oppose patriotic songs, how will people of the country accept you? If Religion is first for you, go to any Muslim country, if country is first for you, be in India.
