WHEN IT COMES TO FREEDOM, WE NEED TO PUT OUR HANDS UP AND FIGHT FOR IT. DEVELOPMENT WILL COME ONLY IF OUR HANDS AND MINDS ARE FREE.

A deaf and dumb PM for a decade has no locus stadii to speak about democracy / development riddled with scams, stagnation, and Q-P-Q. Democracy is suited to the educated and elevated intellectuality like USA and Europe, not like illiterate, fatalistic, feudalistic, under-developed sub-continent like India (even Pakistan) wrongly chosen by Nehru-Gandhi combo. Had we chosen first development of different faculties that effected Indians of different hues and colors, to be ruled by foreigners for 1200 years. Add the failed 5-year plans that resulted India witnessing a drag vis-a-vis other nations of Asia, specially China. Even Vietnam today has a better growth and prosperity.

Adding further with your permission:- There should be no elections for 10 years and a national Govt. only with a development agenda (not of population) should be formed with total transparency and online transactions and RTI of all transactions. If possible, there should be only one House of Parliament, and Supreme Court down below, should dispose of all cases time-bound and no appeals to delay justice.

It is great to preach from the sidelines......

MMS had 10 years to bring a change and ensure that growth penetrated to farmers and the poor. However, all that penetrated to them was unbridled corruption and dance of a man to the tunes of the masters.
While a respected economist, he was a terrible PM.

Aptly put it. I would say he was a terrible economist also, to let rupee slide from 39 to 68...to let fiscal and current account deficit go thru roof, to give policies that lead to worst inflation - double digits for most of his term. What he did in 1991 was done at the behest and guidance of PM Narasimha Rao on one hand, and under pressure of the World Bank - when India had fx for barely one month of imports...

exactly right. A utterly disgusting fellow. It is a insult to even listen to this fellow, for he was just a servant of a Italian whereas India needed a PM.

Sizeable improvement in electricity supply, big work on roads and water traffic movement is going on, no doubt work has been taken on war scale.
But before next election everyone is talking including BJP about reservation, minority, employment, poverty, kisan, rapes, etc.,etc., as usual. Our politicians do not want to raise themselves above all these issues.
How long we will have to face this hate spreading. EC and SC remain silent, media enjoying due to their increased TRP in spreading hate, Govt. at Center not interested to bring any political reform.

To Reform & Develop India, hang 1 lac criminals / yr for 10 yrs

Just like credit rating, there should be criminality rating for each state. Quotas of criminals who should be shot should be set for each state according to its population.

All rapists, robbers, mobile phone-snatches, laptop-snatches, chain snatches, corrupt gov officials (who amass over Rs 1 cr), etc should be shot.

It should be made mandatory to hang or shoot 100,000 criminals pan-India every yr (70,000 North Indians, 20,000 South Indians, 10,000 East Indians). Everyday, at least 70 criminals (25,000 per yr including Jats, Yadavs, Gujjars, IzlamicCriminals, etc) should be hanged in Delh-NCR (including Noida and Ghaziabad) and Haryana.

Then nationwide, 100 politicians (who include present and former MLAs, MPs, etc) should be shot every month for 10 yrs.

Well that will be impossible and lead to civil war. Better is to abolish parliamentary form of Govt and go for Presidential form. PM MOdi is the most capable Indian for this role, a nationalist, patriotic, man of the masses, a honest person, no family to bother him...and proven taskmaster to get the job done...with massive credibility with masses in India, and foreign investors and rating agencies too. There is no alternative to him frankly.

The word Socialism killed the Soul of Preamble
by Prem Sabhlok on Apr 12, 2018 04:33 PM  | Hide replies

What Dr Manmohan Singh say is largely the same as Dr B.R Ambedkar said and higly resisted the word Socialist State in the Preamble. Congress party later added this world and killed our Preamble. Dr Manmohan Singh has no courage to say why the democracy by the people in India has been killed. He should have said remove the word Socialist from the Preamble. Prem Sabhlok
