Can united Opposition defeat Modi in 2019?
by on Apr 11, 2018 02:23 PM

Forget about 2019 election, can united opposition will be able to salvage and avert the nationwide communal tension and avoid riots. that will be the bigger taste than winning 2019 election.

United Opposition??
by Raghavendra Ravi on Apr 11, 2018 02:21 PM  | Hide replies

They are united on what ?? Power hungry goons with no merit. Imagine RG as PM !!
Anyway, it can happen - BJP can lose. One thing is certain - the "United Opposition " will not function - since their goal is only to get power. Also BJP will stall the parliament for ever - if 44 seat con party can stall the parliament, a larger BJP ( even if it loses, it will get more than 44 seats) .. and Rajya Sabha will become a big mess ...

if out of power, BJP also does the same thing .... destructive approach ... we are witnessing it in Delhi, where it does not even have 5% seats

Instead of allowing to rule , the Congress is keen on criticising and obstruction of Parliament functioning. This is not the way a constructive opposition should behave . It will be a big disaster if Team Alibaba ( comprising of 2G / Bofors / Coal / Land / Commonwealth ) comes to power . Overnight all these thieves has become good samaritans !!!!

if indeed the opposition gets "wiped out" as many posers here say (and wish) will happen in the 2019 election ....then that will be bad news for those saying this...because if that happens then india and indians themselves will get wiped out next...

United Opposition where ?
by Raghavendra Rao on Apr 11, 2018 01:27 PM  | Hide replies

To day the political situation in this country is very fluid.Regional parties are thriving in their vote cating devices inciting regional bias and hatread.Their goal is only regional sentiment and issues.Earlier TRS was no where, this Congress gave a rebirth to it by giving a seperate state called Telengana. It is one more addition to already existing parties. These regional parties thinking does not go beyound their state. But one thing is certain, opposition unity in defeating BJP is not possible with out Congress the national party.Congress has got its own alliance with regional parties and they are fighting with the other regional party in some other state. So it cannot become a partner, that is one thing and another is they want to project Rahul as future PM,of which these paries do not agree. So it is not easy to defeat these two national parties.By default, the regional parties unite and get majority, there will be a fight for PM's post.Hence, people should be aware of the problems and elect a single party.

All the opposition parties put together are no match for the BJP. Modi the brand is intact and growing stronger by the day. The opposition will be decimated and wiped out that is for sure. No other leader has worked so hard for the country post independance. I will not be surprised if the NDA bags 400 plus seats

United Opposition ?

United Opposition ... for what ? Only to defeat Modi ?

Any of these parties have any solution for the ills & problems of this country. Criticizing just for the sake of it is easily propagated. To earn a good name and to become successful takes long time, but to damage anybody's image and reputation and of the country... takes no time for these parties. Are they really working in the interests of our economy. Can they come out with proper solution for the Kashmir issue, what concrete steps to be taken for eradication of poverty and improve standard of living of our people; how economic inequalities can be reduced ; how the Caste and religion based indifferences & atrocities be controlled, how the corrupt practices at all levels be eradicated, how the health care of poor millions be taken of... Whether the parties get United or remain single ... how this is going to solve our perennial problems of our country & people... Alas these will remain for ever whether Rama rules or Ravana... Our own people have to be blamed.. jaisa praja vaisa raja...

Will he announce crediting one crore to every bank account or allowing every citizen to escape the law after swindling public sector banks like Neerav Modi? He could befool the voters once but surely lost credibility to earn faith in near future.

Of course, the credibility is very near zero. The carefully articulated and well-practised and animated speeches are inviting nausea now for many people, because there is lack of truth. Sometimes, one wonders about what may hinder a leader to see things realistically, be sane and sober and do things matching the acceptance rate of all people, rather than forcing them into some imaginary dreams. Today we see the full page ads of our leader on the Petroleum and Natural Gas ministry, where as there are talks of electric cars and vehicles etc. Is this product something which did not exist before and was brought by the PM? Should not the ministry be asked to pay the ad costs?
