Deeply anguished, condolences, saddened,words that make no sense. This is happening again and again where old drivers are allowed to drive in dangerous driving conditions.

Every month on n off we are hearing such news...it absolute negligence of Govt, RTO. How a 67 years old was allowed to drive bus? Why bus was overloaded? Speed limit should be checked...very sad n horrible..Govt is spending crores of rupees ...every road on mountain bridges should have strong barriers...

Ministers express deep sorrow award compensation but do not take steps to avoid such incidences....

I completely agree with your point regarding barriers.

That has been the only reaction
in my mind, whenever I read news of such high-altitude road accidents.

While the govt has done a good job of laying roads at a record rate every year, and are also spending heavily on that, I think it is time they also spend on preventing such high-altitude fall-off accidents with protective barriers flanking such high-altitude roads.
