Shridhar Bakkaravally
A Patelâs dream for a hung parliament
by Shridhar Bakkaravally on Apr 09, 2018 05:37 AM

This is an Oxymoronic argument. Using some numbers/data without any attempt to analyse why that could be, you have made an article that clearly shows your desperation to look for a brighter spot in the doom and gloom that opposition is finding itself in at this point of time.
This Govt is headed by someone who besides having administrative experience also has proven ability to win elections repeatedly-based on performance.
So, good luck with your day dreams and please keep Counting on your eggs that are unlikely to hatch.
But I would like to
Make one point though, opposition led by left and congress have been so uncomfortable since Pakistan has been cornered badly by the Indian Govt that they couldnât have imagined a few yrs ago. Amnesty international is
Better off continueing to file petitions against death penalty for the likes for Y Memon and not talk about human rights in Pakistan. What a joke..

Nothing to look into Aakar Patels articles. They were, they are and they will continue to be anti-govt .
I dont even read his first lines. Absolutely biased article from an even biased person. Worth only for toilet papers.

Mr Patel's views are nonsensical.I doubt whether his views are paid news to thrust upon India-the notion of a coalition govt-unable to take decisions, standing up to the various power centres inside and abroad, scuttle the direction of economy, and overall jeopardise India's interest. His opinion clearly gives us a shudder-Is this the purpose of this onesided article from the Amnesty man?

HUNG

A Hung Parliament is an unfortunate setup with all the regional parties flexing their muscles and getting upset like kids if their whimsical demands are not met.
On the other hand, brute majority is also detrimental for the democracy with the party in power behaving like they can get away with anything whimsical.
A single party Government with a strong and vibrant opposition is necessary for a good democratic setup.

Agreed GDP growth has nothing to do with majority government
by ashish tiwari on Apr 07, 2018 07:30 PM  | Hide replies

But Jehadi growth is surely dependent on the loss of power for BJP. Hindoos have to guard against this existential threats and not get divided else soon India will be ruled by pakistan
I am really amazed at muslims sympathizing with dalits while during riots they commit brutuality with equal zeal against all hindoos and never ask caste.

Basking in INSTABILITY?
by Umacharan Panigrahi on Apr 07, 2018 10:32 AM

This HUNG PARLIAMENT is a mischievous idea.
Had at least 5 compromise Govts/PMs in the past with terrible implications.
The whole gamut of Governance is not ONLY GDP,but overall security/confidence of people in the system.Nation becomes most vulnerable for external aggression in times of political instability;may be supported by people who want India to disintegrate.
Unfortunately in our democracy the mature judgement of voters are/can be sabotaged by crafty/selfish political machinations.
