Modi as PM is totally failure
by Suresh Babu on Sep 25, 2017 02:40 PM  | Hide replies

Modi is totally failure - he is looting the country by increasing Excise Duty on Petrol by 18 times from Rs.1.25 to Rs. 36.87 per litre. Modi is liar and looter, throw out him in the Arabian Sea.

Babu, the people of this country will not listen to commie like you. Better think about the party and ideology you blindly support and think about their future poll prospects instead of that of others.

Yes Modi is a total failure since not a single central minister can take any kind of bribe. No business man can loot this country by bribing the PM since Modi is the only PM of this world whose family members can not enter his house or office without his permission. Central govt Secretaries to peons who always used to go to offie at any time they wanted , now have to go to office at right time. The increase in central govt DA in the last 70 years was never 1% as declared for july,2017 so Dearness has come down to 1% for the first time in indian history.

Dr Sudharson's views are entirely wrong. By propping up corrupt govt in TN, BJP is losing its goodwill among the people. Entire state is waiting for early elections. If bye-elections are held now or even 6 months later, DMK will sweep the elections: But will the elections be held? Contrary to EPS and OPS group gaining strength, by their goof ups, TTV faction is gaining strength slowly.If at all BJP wants to gain in TN, it has to stop supporting the present Govt. Otherwise, the so called strategy,is nothing but hara-kiri.

@chakr:

I completely understand someone having a little softness in the heart for his or her own part of India.

So if you wish to see more industries getting started in North India, you have every right to wish so.

But you also have frequently made this statement that I find either unclear or untrue or both.

I say "unclear", because, on one hand, you blame Congress govt at the Center of "diverting" industries to the south, but you seem to be mentioning only private sector companies. So what is unclear is how did the Congress govt influence PRIVATE entrepreneurs in their choice of location?

Do you have any data to back up your statement? I'd love to see it.

No offense at your viewpoint. No heartburn. Just think of it as my "academic" curiosity.

Yes. That was a myth. It is just that post-idependence era has been fruitful to Tamilians as congress govt diverted all industries to south India mainly to Tamilnadu. Even most of the jobs are Bangalore are occupied by Tamilians. Congress party has neglected North India and also the regions that had helped to form consecutive govts. If you take a list of top startups in India, most of them are floated by north Indians. Especially in IT as these guys emerging from colleges in south India are good enough for service sector companies and to perform some repetitive tasks. Before 1980s IT was also dominated by north Indians like Vindo Dham, Sabir Bhatia etc.

@chakr:

I hope you realize that the two examples you mentioned for IT domination by north indians in the past (Vinod Dham and Sabir Bhatia) had all their success in the USA rather than in India. Whereas, in India, I could only come up with the names of Shiv Nadar of HCL and Narayan Murthy of Infosys, whom it would be far-fetched to call "north indian", I guess.

Hope north Indians will release their potential and their creative abilities and stop migrating to south India and floating industries in Bangalore and working for the welfare of south Indians. Say for instance cities like Udaipur has more potential compared to the over crowded cities like Bangalore and Chennai. UP has more than 22 crore population, and it should be advantage to the state and country. I hope UPites will work to convert it into an industrialised state and with good educational institutions.

I would also appeal to north Indians to try to invest in your home state rather than investing in Bangalore. In Bangalore you may get a flat for 1 crore. At your place you may get 4500sft site with a bungalow. Think about it. You will prosper and your state will also proper. Stay on rent and you can claim HRA exemption also.

All those industries diverted to
Tamilnadu by late Mr. Venkatraman and
C. subramaniam were completely destroyed by the Dravidian parties
after 1967 election.

The late chief Minister Sri. M
Bhaktha vatsalam aptly remarked
the outcome as venomous insects
were spread in Tamilnadu.

How true it is now!!!

Your comment is correct except linking referred late leaders as because of them Industries were diverted to TN. They were most honest leaders. Late C Subramanian held ministry of steel 1962-67 and later in Agriculture etc - called as father of green revolution. Mr R Venkatraman was TN state Industries Minister for long & gone to centre after 1967. During Kamaraj Rule first they brought more number of Industrial Estates in all the 8 districts(then)and now it is being called as Special Economic Zone exists in all big Mpl corporations. Both of them were strong lieutenant to Late Kamaraj.
