I feel the time has come to ask questions as to WHY we citizens are being asked to do this that and the other. Has an EMERGENCY BEEN DECARED as in 1977 wherein the rights of citizens are declared null and void. Last time I checked India was still a democracy THOUGH SLOWLY BUT SURELY GOING DOWNTOBEADEMOGOGUERY

Nothing can be compared to emergency..if it was emergency you would not be writing anything here..internet would be shut first -:) No need to go to extreme thinking really..be sensible and within limits..

My bank asked me to link my Bank Account. Iasked them to show me the Government notification which asked them to do so. The gaped at me like a frog does when caught in the headlights of a car at night. THEY HAD NO NOTIFICATION. They were just going with the flow and many of us silly citizens were like sheep JUST FOLLOWING ORDERS without asking WHY.

If you are clean why are you afraid of Aadhar linking. You must be having many bank accounts in different banks which are opened with different PAN cards obtained by you. Be true Indians.

...why do the bank have to show govt. notification...it is their bank rules you either follow or don't get the a/c..simple..you can't make your own rule..

That means you do not have bank account, no pan card, no passport. You seems to be not filing income tax returns. How do you manage that now.

I have bank accout, pan card, passport all of them...IT returns I filed for 10 years already
