100% correct.. he is another know all journalist who speaks a lot all the time.. but the real path to knowledge is listening and they never listen and cant understand to the real india of middle and lower classes.

They dont realize..therefore they are surprised when Modi claims hatrick in Gujrat, sweeps 2014 and in a repeat sweeps UP in 2017.
But the low IQ know all like Thapar dont realize that they are good for nothing.
Like other media reporters where small minded people think they are the best and know all - just by creating noise on the channels you cant sense the mood of the country.
Poor and the middle classes who determine the outcome of electoral battles were an enigma to Thapar and his likes since Modi first became the chief minister 14 years back and they still remain out of touch with the poor and middle classes.
Hence first they are surprised by Modis hatrick in Gujrat, then surprised by Modi cleaning up congress in 2014 and again surprised by Modi cleaning up UP as well right under their noses.
So as I said your circle might be tracking quarterly progress of India's GDP, ease of doing business and other hardships.. but you have got no idea of he psychology of Indian masses.
Hardships dont sway Indian poor and middle-class anymore. What sways them is honesty, credibility and a person willing to help them and doing something to help them. In short- TRUST.

A media person must ask himself tho question. 'Am I being such an a$$ hole that despite people spitting on me and puking out at my trashy commentaries, I continue doing it JUST TO prove a point ? '
