I somewhat agree. I belong to northindia.. its seems breaking rule become habits in North india. Spitting, Crossing red light signals on roads are few examples

It is true. North India is rude arrogant and dangerous. I am from north. Need to do some introspection.
culprits must be caught and punished exemplary to avoid such incident in future. bad for tourism. bad for India's culture and traditions. such persons must be treated as enemy of India and punished accordingly.
This is unfortunate incident. Why such things happens in India. Govt must take strong note in this regards. However tye visitors also must be dicent in public. Our people in general are generous and courteous enough. The cuprit must be caught and put behind bar
I had been abroad for 30 years and relocated to India in Feb hoping to have a peaceful life. Here the people are so behaving so rudely to their elders and I think no where in the world we will find these kind of people. I am not talking about all, but a section of the people from the younger generation who are well educated. Wonder how can they behave like this to elderly people.

This can happen only in India. A country filled with hooligans who act like custodians of culture, hooligans who themselves are without any culture, coming from the dirt and filth of the cities. I feel really sad for the tourist couple, cannot imagine what a nightmare they must have gone through. Shame on Modi his protege the Yogi and all his chamchas. This incident is a national shame. However since this is a BJP ruled state there is nothing much expected from the state or central government. All we can do is hang our heads in shame.
