GST has been expected to bring down taxes / uniform tax and that means prices of items will come down.What is actual? In hotel prices have gone up ? South India is full of Hotels. What is happening to their business anybody's guess. What is cheep ? Cars. Who are buying cars? When government itself says the GST needs to re looked then What is the problem. It is mindlessly created by the so called BJP leaders from TN who have no roots in TN. Liquor, Petrol and Diesel are not under GST. Why and who should be blamed for this exclusion. If a comedian says to the thief that there is no money because of Digitization why should BJP agitated about the comment. BJP has raised an Unwarranted Issue that is backfiring on them.
Singapore does not have free heath check but hs subsidies. ' there is no reservation in Singapore . Indian degrees are not valid in Singapore. health care in Singapore is world class. and no one is allowed to spit or litter it is swatch Singapore.
In a setting like North Korea, the entire cast and crew of the movie Mersai would have been blown to pieces using a tank gun or cannon in public. And the producer would have been executed along with the movie director again in public. But then there would have been some order. Any brainless idiot and his half brother would not have ventured into making idiotic, meaningless movies and make baseless allegations against regions , government.
In India we suffer from strange sense of freedom where people do not know where to draw line.
What is it now ? 6 months since we got GST ? There are a sh%t load of analyses, tons of protests and in general every moron's pass time to discuss GST bill. Now , movies.
So now on, each time the government comes with a policy they make movies mocking it ?

Extremely well put. I was supporting Vijay on his film because in a democracy everyone including the director, actor & producer has a right to their opinion howsoever misplaced or wrong that opinion might be.
However after hearing the dialog where he says that alcohol is not under GST but health care is charged GST, what the film is trying to potray is absolutely ridiculous. Alcohol consumers pay one of the highest taxes to both state & central govt, that is why when the SC ruling on 500m ban of wine shops came, every state was worried sick because a huge chunk of revenue was going to be lost. So this is pure selective representation of the GST as per one's own likes & dislikes & not film freedom of expression.

A Comedian said on a Tamil News Channel just a couple of days ago - let political parties find something to criticise in every movie...that will ensure the success of the movie...and the Film Industry will be fine.

Before independence some movies were taken agst the policies of British Govt - ie quoting the systems prevailing then. After independence many films are being taken quoting social justice - right from 'Parasakthi' ie untouchability, not allowing dalits in temple etc to eradicate Zamindari dominance. praising of dravidian culture etc. Sivaji Ganesan, MGR, SS Rajendran then popular actors in many films quoted few dialogues agst social justice. Actor CHO criticised DMK in many ways - almost in all his films. Now & then in many films many actors have such dialogues including Rajnikanth. Only very recently some of the films being acted by Kamal Hasan & Vijay are being opposed. Few groups take it up to the court even before release quoting some reasons as if it hurts their sentiments. Earlier some groups opposed agst some films - as the film producers close to Srilankan ex President.
BJP state President vehemently criticised and one of the National Secretaries of that party indirectly hint the actors religion.
Is it warranted for BJP local leaders to oppose when Central Film Censor Board certified? even without seeing the original film. One gentleman said that he saw the bits of that film thru internet while all film makers are fighting for video piracy. In due course, the film gets more popularity.

Stinking Gujarati open defecator, I have written reams and reams on this board how the average per capita income of Keralites is much higher than the national average (as per the Ministry of Statistics and Program implementation, Kerala was ranked 10th out of 33 states and union territories in 2015) and that Kerala has the lowest poverty ratio in the country (less than 7 % against the national average of 21 %) !

But very few, if at all, industrial units of the type usually found all over north India (the pollution norms violating and slave wage paying ones) !!
For instance, there are actually thousands of units making various rubber goods !!
There are actually thousands of timber and plywood processing and furniture making units !
There are hundreds of granite quarries and hundreds of units making rough hewn and polished granite blocks as well as blue metal making units !
There are actually tens of thousands of sea food processing units ! And many of them export their products !
There are hundreds of gold ornament making units !
There are hundreds of coir and coir products making units and several of them export their products to countries all across the world !
Besides, there are several rare metal extracting units (Keralas sea sand in several places is rich in Ilmenite, Titanium and Monazite), TMT rods and other construction related steel making units, food processing units, etc.
And Kerala has its share of public sector units, the most famous ones being the ISRO, Kochi Refinery, Cochin Shipyard (which is now making Indias first indigenous aircraft carrier), FACT, HOCL, etc.
Kerala is the home of one of Indias most famous tyre making companies, MRF !
And now, Kerala has a burgeoning I.T and I.T enables services industry that employs more than one lakh professionals !

BJP is sinking. Dialogue in Mersal film is a silly matter. When you are right, why you bother about this film. Just ignore. BJP's fellow are barking because they could not tolerate this. They themselves know their system is wrong and unacceptable by the people. H.Raja will spoil the BJP. Better he should be removed from the party. We are all Indian and we have to work for the development of the country. Do you think the Christians in India came from UK and muslims from Saudi Arabia. All are Indians and they adapted their life system of their choice. The political person are there in different parties. Can you ask other political party persons to leave the country. We have some problems which also created by BJP not any other party. My sincere advice to Raja that please concentrate to bring fund from Centre for development of TN.
