But when a point for point debate on what currently available archaeological, literary, linguistic and genetic evidence show about the history of human settlements in the Indian sub-continent is called for, the RSS historians run away !!
The most recent instance was when the BJP appointee in the ICHR, Prof Michel Danino, responded in panic to a detailed peer reviewed article of Mr Tony Joseph on what the most recent genetic studies using the latest tools of genome sequencing (male DNA as well as female DNA against the earlier methods of using only female DNA) reveal about migrations into the sub continent.
When Mr Tony Joseph responded by inviting Prof Danino to write his views and doubts about the latest results of genome studies on Indian and European populations in a science journal that is peer reviewed, the latter fell completely silent !

Why are two chrittins having opposing views about migrations into India ?
Oh, just why cant everyone identify solely and entirely based on the religious identities of their names ?
Why must they act and talk differently and cause dilemnas to political parties that bank on religious polarisation to win elections ?

It is now 4 months since Mr Joseph invited Danino to record his disputes about what he wrote about the revelations that the latest in genetic research has about migrations into India.
Why is Michel Danino, who is always the most voluble among all ICHR appointees of the BJP in defending the theory (now discredited hypothesis) of no inward migrations into India till the arrival of muxlims, so quiet and unresponsive to the challenge sent by Joseph ?
Has Michel Danino started believing that genetic science, which he was swearing by for more than 2 decades, has suddenly lost all its value ?
History is a base for prediction of future and is of very important to make ourselves compliant with security threats that can arise again, by releasing a Patch for loop hole.
Each passing year , instead of becoming a cultured and wise society, Indians seem to be digging the past and bury ourselves in those pits shouting ever so often from the bottom of those pits that we are great we are great.
One idiot who recently authored a derogatory book on a particular caste in South India. When countered in an interview he tried to defend his book citing ARYAN invasion of DRAVIDIAN culture. That idiot is a well known Professor (Tragedy of India) at a university. This is what History is used for in our day to day life. Idiots like this professors write fiction and it becomes History in 10 years. This is just one example.
Clinging to history makes you stuck there while other cultures transform and evolve. Evolution is progress. Getting stuck to History like a frog in well is both dangerous and counter productive to Indian society.
What the author said all along is about art - could be architecture , could be music and dance or paintings or even food and cloths. Art transcends time. A piece of architecture or painting remains beautiful throughout it's existence.
But history on the other hand is linked to so called 'Pride' and 'Vanity' which drive pegs in society. What relevance it has if some one was born in a warrior clan ? If that fellow thumps his chest and resorts to cinematic war cries, he would thrown in jail. So , history is confined to time period. What happened say 100 years ago should be left there. If we carry on our backs the whole history like idiots our future will pass without ever noticing it.
Most important thing we INdians suffer from is the notion of cultural pride and misplaced prestige which has roots in inferiority complex. More you brag about your culture , more you tell the other person that you are inferior being. Bragging and pride are two diseases we Indians suffer from due to our alleged 'RICHNESS' of culture.
Also we are not some stateless nomadic tribe wandering the world to constantly yearn for an identity. We have a country and we belong here. The cliched identity is useful for political purposed. Other than that identity is as useless as a used diaper.
