has never made nor has ever displayed any wish to make a change in such matters.

This is a matter related entirely to the traditions followed at the temple.

I think the judiciary is unnecessarily stirring a
hornet's nest to foment trouble for all.

Before thinking of the rights of women let the judiciary give importance and priority to their (women's) privacy and safety which is getting dearer nowadays.

Why this controversy at all?
by SR Hari on Oct 13, 2017 12:47 PM

Why in the first place, should the SC look into this? How many women (out of the possible 65 Crore women in India) had protested for the non-entry into the temple? Just because of a handful of women, encouraged by the ever-troublemongers, have protested, this should be looked into with such seriousness, forgetting the age old tradition, custom? What if women aren't let into the temple in Sabarimala? If they are allowed, these protesting women will be there on all the days the temple is open? All this is just to create some disturbance to the peace in the society. Why, questions aren't raised on the beliefs in other faiths? Why look at Hinduism always, to create troubles?

Restrictions are for safety and well being and privacy of women

It is not about not giving equal rights to female members. It is about providing proper facilities and safety to females.A lyricist once commented"Every man look at every female member not of his family through a different mirror and a bad perspective."The way to Sabarimali Temple is a tough trip even for healthy man.Ladies cannot be protected there;they cannot get the privacy they deserve.Supreme court has given judgement on the importance of privacy. One should go there to understand that such privacy for ladies is impossible there. These restriction are there not to dent any religious right to ladies .INDIA may be one but not every Indian understands INDIA R.PONNAMBALAM

The crowd, mind set etc., may become impractical for women to participate on such temples during festivity season.
